Overview

The Manager, Driver Planning oversees the efficient planning, scheduling, and management of bus drivers to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective service delivery across our U.S. operations, which includes 55+ driver domiciles and 900+ drivers. This role ensures optimal driver utilization while maintaining full compliance with labor laws, driving regulations, and company policies. The position plays a critical role in balancing operational demands, driver wellbeing, and the service quality that drives our business forward.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain driver schedules that meet service requirements and comply with labor laws and hours‑of‑service regulations
  • Ensure all driver schedules comply with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards
  • Coordinates run bid and schedule changes per company collective bargaining agreements at least 3 times a year
  • Partner with People Team to identify and support ongoing staffing needs
  • Provide guidance to Field Leadership teams in decision-making, operations planning, etc,
  • Maintains driver data, metrics, and reporting for senior leadership line-of-sight
  • Assist on departmental and interdepartmental strategic initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in transportation, logistics, workforce planning, or dispatch operations
  • Experience in unionized workforce preferred
  • Experience in bus, motorcoach, or public transit operations preferred
  • Strong understanding of D.O.T. hours of service regulations preferred
  • Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, both collaboratively and independently
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft tools and ecosystem

Compensation Range

USD $53,400.00 - USD $76,100.00 /Yr.
